Sami Lapland Leather Bracelet - Authentic Sami Jewellery DD2
The use of pewter wire is an age old tradition among the Saami people of Lapland (or Sapmi) which lies in the northernmost regions of Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia. The tradition of using pewter to decorate clothes goes back hundreds of years and has been adapted to make these beautiful bracelets over the last 60 years.
The wire itself is made from 96% pewter and 4% silver and the leather is made from 100% ethically and cruelty free reindeer leather and the buttons from reindeer antlers.
These amazing and beautiful bracelets are hand crafted by two women (Sanna and Paula) from the Torne river valley deep in Lapland countryside and are all hand-picked by us.
3 sizes available: Approx. 1.3 cm wide x 19 cm, 20 cm and 21 cms long
Care: The bracelets require no maintenance but should be removed before showering and swimming. They will not get damaged by getting wet every now and then though
